Now you have your own AutoPie applet on your phone.
AutoPie is an innovative command hub and workflow runner designed specifically for Android, allowing users to bring the power of Linux commands and Python scripts to their devices with a user-friendly interface. With AutoPie, shell commands can be executed seamlessly in an integrated Termux environment, enabling a variety of triggers including manual execution, integration with Android's share sheet, scheduled tasks, and event-driven responses to file changes.
AutoPie enables automation by supporting a variety of command types:
| Command Type | Runs | Configuration |
|---|---|---|
SHARE | From AutoPie, Android share sheet, pinned shortcuts, or other apps | Receives text, URLs, files, or directories |
FILE_OBSERVER | Detected after writing new files in a specified directory | Uses regex selectors for filename matching |
CRON | Periodically executed in the background | Set intervals like 15m, 30m, or 1h |
AutoPie also supports structured communication between commands via environment variables. Inputs can easily be referenced in commands, allowing for dynamic execution based on user-defined conditions. Notably:
#@AUTOPIE {"type":"output","value":"3 new posts"}
This structured output enables real-time notifications and updates to the user interface.
