ChapterDesk is a local writing studio for scene-by-scene storytelling with language models.

You don’t chat with the model. You give a short direction for the next scene. The model drafts the chapter. You read it, then steer again — or fork the thread if the plot could go two ways. When you just want to read, you switch to the book view of the active path.

• Local first — stories and settings stay on your machine (SQLite). The app talks only to a local server; the server calls your chosen provider.

ChapterDesk does not ship a model. You bring any provider that speaks the OpenAI-style chat API (OpenRouter is the usual choice).
