Claude Usage Widget is a small, standalone Windows desktop app built to solve a simple problem: seeing how much Claude.ai usage you have left, in real time. The widget runs entirely locally, with no telemetry and no data sent anywhere except Claude.ai.

Installation and Usage

After downloading the latest release from the Releases, the installation process is straightforward. Upon launching the widget for the first time, users can log into their Claude.ai account to start viewing their usage statistics.

Example of Usage Controls:

• Drag: Move the widget by clicking and dragging the title bar.
• Refresh: Instantly update data by clicking the refresh icon.
• Minimize: Hide the widget to the system tray with the minimize option.
• Close: Minimizes to tray without exiting the application.

Understanding Usage Display

• Current Session: The progress bar indicates usage from 0-100% with a countdown timer showing time until the end of the 5-hour session. Color coding alerts users to their usage levels: purple (normal), orange (high), and red (critical).
• Weekly Limit: Similar tracking for weekly usage with timed resets every Wednesday at 7:00 AM.

Privacy and Security

The widget prioritizes user security, ensuring all session credentials are stored locally and securely, with no information sent to third-party servers. It communicates solely with the official Claude.ai API for usage data.
