Dropway: Effortless Sharing of Static Sites

Dropway enables the transformation of any static site—including HTML/CSS reports, data dashboards, React or Vite builds, documentation sites, or AI-generated pages—into a live, shareable URL with a single command. This process offers seamless access control, allowing users to swiftly manage who can view their content.

Simply drag a folder into the intuitive dashboard or upload via the Multi-Channel Platform (MCP), and instantly receive a URL that can be shared with anyone from your organization or made public. This flexibility makes it easy to change access permissions at any time.

Leveraging an open-source architecture, Dropway can be self-hosted, while also offering an optional hosted SaaS solution at dropway.dev.

The Challenge of Secure Sharing

Sharing files and projects effectively can often be cumbersome. Common methods have significant limitations:

• Emailing a Zip File or Screenshot: Quickly becomes outdated and lacks a live URL for ongoing updates.
• Using S3 and CloudFront: Not user-friendly for those without technical expertise.
• Deploying on Vercel or Netlify: Requires access to GitHub, limiting sharing capabilities to your team only.
• Wikis: Lose formatting and interactivity, affecting the presentation.
• File Shares: No external sharing options and lack of management oversight.

Dropway fills this gap by providing a straightforward and secure way to publish content, with robust sharing and access control features as essential offerings.

Key Features

• Drag-and-Drop Deployment: Deploy your folder to a live URL effortlessly with no need for complex configurations.
• Comprehensive Sharing Options: Choose from public access, password protection, selective sharing (email allowlist), or organization-wide sharing, reinforcing security by default.
• Multi-tenant Architecture: Support for teams and roles along with an organizational policy that controls external sharing capabilities.
• Version Control: Immutable, versioned deployments allow for instant rollbacks to previous versions, ensuring content integrity.
• Audit Logs: Monitor who has shared and accessed content for enhanced transparency.
• Immediate Access Control: Instantly revoke access, cutting off shared links as needed.
• Safe for Untrusted Content: Built-in safety measures prevent content from one site affecting another's sessions, ensuring a secure environment.
• LLM-friendly Access: Automatically serves an llms.txt index for public sites while keeping gated content protected from crawlers, ensuring controlled access for AI tools.
• Open Source Flexibility: Choose between self-hosting or utilizing the hosted service.
