With a simple keyboard shortcut, users can verbally specify what they want to write, and Feather will draft a reply based on the contextual information from the user's current screen.

Usage Example

Invoke Feather by pressing ⌥ Space, describe your desired message, and watch as it creates a text response that can be easily inserted into the desired application. For instance:

How It Works

Upon invocation, Feather captures the relevant context from the frontmost application and sends it to the user's selected AI model for processing, which may include:

• Application and window name
• Focused field text and selected text
• Readable text from the active window
• Optional screenshot of the window (if enabled)

The generated content streams back to Feather's panel where it can be pasted, refined, copied, or regenerated. The assistant retains the last five instructions and replies locally for easy reference, while ensuring that no personal content is stored.

Multi-Provider Setup

Users can easily configure their preferred AI provider through the Settings tab in Feather. Available options include:

• Feather Plus: A hosted solution without the need for an API key.
• Claude: Connect with an API key for enhanced conversational capabilities.
• ChatGPT: Sign in via the browser to access OpenAI's popular model.
• OpenCode Go: Integrate with this OpenAI-compatible service.
