Figranium

Figranium is an innovative open-source solution designed for developers seeking a self-hosted alternative to traditional SaaS web scraping services. This powerful tool enables users to visually construct complex browser workflows and seamlessly transform them into instant API endpoints. Utilizing a robust architecture powered by React/Vite for the control plane and Express/Playwright for runtime operations, Figranium facilitates the execution of stealth browser tasks while maintaining complete control over dynamic variables, proxy management, and result streaming—all hosted on your own infrastructure.

Key Features

• Visual Block-based Automation: Easily create sophisticated workflows using a variety of actions such as click, type, wait, hover, and JavaScript execution on modern web pages.
• API and CLI Integration: Trigger automation tasks through dedicated HTTP endpoints or using the command line interface with npx figranium, allowing for dynamic variable passing and API key management for secure execution.
• Capture and Storage Management: Automatically save screenshots, recordings, and browser cookies, manage your captures, and access them via the user-friendly interface.
• Advanced Proxy Handling: Monitor, rotate, or import proxies with ease, including options for default settings and individual task rotations.
• Automated Task Scheduling: Configure workflows to run on a routine basis using visual tools for intervals, daily, weekly, or monthly settings, as well as complex cron expressions for advanced scheduling needs.
• Security-Focused Design: Implement session authentication, IP allowlisting, secret management, and logging all within your secure environment.

Architecture Overview

Figranium is built around Figranite, a high-efficiency workflow interpreter outfitted for stateful browser automation. This core component manages extensive variable contexts and provides the intelligence to bypass modern bot detection.

Frontend and Backend Technology

• The frontend is developed using Vite with React (TypeScript), featuring intuitive designs for managing tasks, settings, and execution logs.
• The backend utilizes Express for handling authentication and API requests, offering comprehensive control over task execution and runtime configurations.

Community and Ongoing Support

Figranium thrives on community interaction; developers are invited to contribute through the project’s GitHub repository. Feedback, feature suggestions, and issues can be reported directly on the project page. Additionally, users can support ongoing development through donation platforms or by sharing the project.

Conclusion

Figranium revolutionizes browser automation by delivering persistent API functionality devoid of the constraints typically associated with third-party services. With its comprehensive feature set focused on flexibility, security, and ease-of-use, Figranium is well-positioned as a top choice for developers looking to optimize their automated workflows.
