About this project

The nable platform offers a seamless way to manage cloud spend across AWS, Azure, GCP, and multiple SaaS providers. By integrating with AI tools like Claude and Cursor, it provides actionable cost insights and savings suggestions that are grounded in your actual usage. Keep control over your credentials securely on your machine while optimizing cloud expenditures.

nable: The AI-Native FinOps Platform

The nable platform revolutionizes cloud financial management by integrating seamlessly with AI agents like Claude and Cursor. By leveraging real-time data from cloud providers including AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and more than 15 SaaS and AI platforms, nable provides detailed insights into spending and identifies genuine savings opportunities based on real rates, not just list prices.

Key Features

Ask Your AI: Interact with your cloud expenditure through AI, asking specific questions such as "What drove our AWS bill up 40% last month?" or "Which EC2 instances should we downsize?"
Real Savings and Proposals: nable identifies actionable insights, proposing cost-saving fixes as pull requests which require manual approval before implementation.
Local Execution and Security: All operations occur on the local machine, ensuring that sensitive information and credentials never leave the system. Credentials are securely encrypted and stored in OS-specific keyrings.
User-Friendly Integration: Quickly connect to your cloud providers with minimal configuration. nable’s setup wizard simplifies initial installations, particularly for AWS and GCP, allowing users to get started without extensive manual configuration.
Enhanced Capabilities: Features include anomaly detection for unexpected costs, recommendations for resource rightsizing, and detailed cost breakdowns across various platforms.

Local-First and Auditable

Security is central to nable. The application is designed to be read-only by default, and it never writes changes to user cloud accounts unless explicitly enabled for cleanup actions. Transparency is assured since users are encouraged to audit the code. The source is open for scrutiny, and the telemetry is anonymous and can be disabled.

Quick Usage Example

To start using nable, run the following command in your terminal:

uvx nable

This launches the local server where queries can be made regarding cloud costs, helping users to maintain budgetary control and optimize spending effortlessly.

Conclusion

The open-source nable platform empowers users to manage their cloud finances effectively through automation and intelligent insights. It's a proactive approach to cloud cost management, enabling users to optimize their spending and drive decisions based on accurate, real-time data.
