flint is an innovative SSH and SFTP client designed for desktop environments, primarily built using Rust with the GPUI framework. Integrating a terminal and file manager into a single interface, flint provides a streamlined solution for managing remote connections while prioritizing user privacy and security.

• Secure Storage: Store hosts and keys in an encrypted file on disk, ensuring sensitive information remains private.
• User-friendly Interface: A dual-panel file manager allows users to navigate local and remote files effortlessly, complete with drag and drop functionality.
• Versatile Connectivity: Supports SSH with password authentication, private keys, and SSH agent, along with options for jump hosts, SOCKS5, and HTTP proxy configurations.
• Enhanced Terminal Experience: Features a tabbed terminal with search capabilities and the ability to suggest commands from the shell history of the server.
• Remote Editing: Open remote files in local editors and automatically upload changes upon saving, currently available for macOS and Windows.
• Secure Sync and Team Collaboration: Users can sync their hosts across devices when signed in with GitHub. The data remains encrypted before upload, and collaborative features are available through an invite link system.

Installation

• Available for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows x64. Users on Linux or Intel Mac will need to build from source, requiring Rust and a compatible toolchain.
