interview-sim

The interview-sim project provides a unique platform for technical interview preparation by allowing users to simulate real technical screening processes conducted by companies. This tool streamlines the interview prep experience by enabling candidates to paste a job posting, which the system then analyzes to create authentic technical questions reflective of what the company actually requires.

Key Features:

• Intelligent Research: The system conducts thorough research, ensuring that all candidate reports are live, dated, and well-sourced. No old or stale data is used, keeping the material current and relevant.

• Custom Question Generation: Based on the company's interview format, the tool creates original questions tailored to the specific job role, avoiding reuse of any actual assessment items.

• Test Validation: Each generated question is equipped with deliberately incorrect solutions to ensure it can be accurately graded. All tests must successfully identify these errors before the interview session begins.

• Fixed Timing: A reliable timer strictly manages the interview duration; any correct answer submitted after the time limit is automatically considered invalid.

• Post-Session Analysis: After the interview, users can access a detailed report that breaks down time management per question and identifies failures of hidden tests with reference solutions provided upon request.

Usage Examples:

To initiate a simulation, simply use:

/interview-sim:sim https://jobs.example.com/some-posting

This command triggers the agent to research information about the job posting, prepares questions, and starts the timer, allowing candidates to practice in their own coding environment.

Interview Formats:

The tool offers flexibility with several formats for simulating interviews:

• The exam: 4 questions over 70 minutes with a silent proctor.
• The project: A single project with four gated levels within a 90-minute timeframe.
• The interview: A single question interview lasting 45 minutes, where hints from the interviewer are counted.

Integrity Measures:

The framework emphasizes honesty and transparency:

• Every question undergoes approval from hidden tests to confirm its validity.
• No caching of information ensures every session reflects the most recent hiring standards.
• All questions are original and written in accordance with public formatting standards, refusing to reuse real assessment items.
