MCP Session Bridge

MCP Session Bridge provides a free and efficient solution for authenticated browser-session automation through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This innovative toolset allows users to execute session_* commands directly within their own Chrome profiles, ensuring real logged-in sessions that standard cloud browser APIs cannot access. A standalone mode is also available, functioning independently of any browser extensions, providing seamless automation capabilities.

Key Features

• Dual-Transport Design: Offers two modes of operation.
  • Extension Mode: Utilizes a local, owner-only relay socket communicated to a native messaging host spawned by Chrome. Commands are forwarded to the T3rnel Browser extension, which executes actions against live authenticated tabs.
  • Standalone Mode: Operates by launching its own headful or headless Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) browser on a persistent profile, providing automation without any licensing fees or extension requirements.
• Rich Data Interaction: Facilitates structured returns of page context, form values, and provides snapshots and screenshots without compromising session cookies, enhancing security and privacy.

Pricing

The MCP Session Bridge is freely available, with no licensing requirements. Users opting for Extension Mode can gain access to Pro tools through the T3rnel Browser extension for a one-time fee of $29.99, covering three devices. Standalone Mode is entirely free and does not require additional software.

Project Structure

The project comprises several essential components:

• src/server.js: Implements the MCP stdio server, manages tool surface and schema validation, and handles dual-transport routing.
• src/cdp.js: Manages the standalone CDP browser operations.
• src/native-host.js: Coordinates the native messaging host, managing relay socket actions and concurrent MCP server multiplexing.
• docs/: Contains comprehensive guides for installation and troubleshooting, ensuring users can optimize deployment across supported clients.
