Ockham IDE is designed as a fast, minimalist code editor that provides a distraction-free environment for programming. Built with Tauri, Rust, and React, it embraces the philosophy of Occam's Razor—prioritizing simplicity in the developer experience.

High Performance: Ockham is built on Rust and Tauri, allowing for a quick startup and efficient file navigation. Avoiding the overhead of heavy electron-based applications ensures low memory usage and high responsiveness.
Global Workspace Search: Effortlessly search through entire project folders with a simple Cmd+Shift+F shortcut. Ockham employs a custom Rust backend to rapidly parse directories, delivering real-time search results.
Integrated Terminal: The native terminal, constructed with XTerm.js and a local pseudoterminal backend, automatically adapts to the editor's color scheme. It supports basic shell operations without the need to switch windows.
Native Code Execution: Ockham simplifies the coding process by offering built-in run configurations for various programming languages, including Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, Rust, HTML, Java, and Bash. Users can compile and execute files directly within the integrated terminal pane by clicking the run button.
