Tango with Pango
Explore the capabilities of PangoMicro FPGAs in real-world applications.
Pitch

Tango with Pango offers a dedicated sandbox for experimenting with PangoMicro FPGAs. Focused on the PGL25G chip, this project aims to compare its performance against competitors, providing insights into usable capacity and Fmax in practical applications. Perfect for developers and engineers keen on FPGA technology.

Description

Tango with Pango serves as a dynamic playground for exploring the capabilities of PangoMicro FPGAs, specifically focusing on the PGL25G chip from the Logos family, which boasts an impressive 25K LUT5 architecture. This architecture strikes a balance between the LUT4 and LUT6 FPGA architectures, making it an intriguing choice for various applications.

This repository is dedicated to experimenting with the PGL25G, which offers pin compatibility with the Xilinx Spartan7 LUT6 silicon. Additionally, the project aims to conduct real-life comparisons with similar devices, notably the GowinSemi Arora GW2AR-18 (20K LUT4) and CologneChip GateMateA1 (20K LUT8-tree). By assessing these chips in practical applications, the project seeks to evaluate their usable capacity and maximum frequency (Fmax).

Engage with the Tango with Pango repository to delve into FPGA development and gain insights into the performance of PangoMicro FPGAs.
