TiBi

TiBi is an application designed for performing Tight Binding calculations. This user-friendly GUI tool, built with Qt and Python, empowers users to visually construct and simulate tight-binding systems without the need for coding skills.

Features:

• Construct systems graphically, making complex calculations accessible to both beginners and experienced users.
• Available on multiple platforms including macOS (both Apple Silicon and Intel), Linux, and with Windows support in progress.

Supported Platforms:

• ✅ macOS: Binary available for easy installation.
• 🚧 Windows: Currently in progress; the application is expected to function but requires further visual testing.
• ✅ Linux: Fully supported.

If issues arise, the following steps may resolve common problems:

• Module Not Found Errors: Ensure that the virtual environment is activated and dependencies are correctly installed by running pip install -r requirements.txt --upgrade.
• PyInstaller Build Failures: Verify the correct spec file is used for your platform and ensure all dependencies are installed.
• Application Startup Issues: Running the application from a terminal can provide useful error messages; ensure all necessary files are included in your spec file.
