About this project

Vehir Platform offers an experimental AI-native environment designed for seamless interaction between agents and computers. By focusing on machine-to-machine communication, it provides structured inputs, self-discoverable tools, and machine-readable error handling, paving the way for advanced autonomous agents to operate efficiently.

Vehir Platform is an innovative AI-native computing environment tailored for seamless agent-computer interaction. Unlike traditional systems that prioritize human-user interfaces, Vehir specifically constructs its software environment to cater to the requirements of AI agents.

Key Features

Agent-Centric Design: Vehir's interfaces and tools are optimized for structured and discoverable input and output, enabling direct usability for AI agents.
Machine-Friendly Operations: The platform is designed for machine-to-machine interaction, minimizing the need for natural language parsing while enhancing the comprehensibility of machine-readable errors and remediation hints.
Self-Discoverable Tools: Agents can autonomously explore the capabilities of the system, understanding what operations are available without external guidance.
Declarative Build System: Using a source language designed for machine verification, agents can declare their desired state, allowing the system to reconcile and achieve the intended outcome.

Core Components

Vehir encompasses multiple integrated layers forming a self-hosting platform:

User-Space Microkernel: A robust kernel that launches and manages worker processes, enabling efficient coordination and memory utilization.
Native Compiler: The integrated compiler that converts IPM packages to native x86-64 code and ensures its own verification and integrity across versions.
Content-Addressed Storage: This functionality enables objects to be stored and addressed by digest, ensuring deduplication and immutability throughout versions.
Code-Derived Agent Tools: By deriving operations directly from tool implementations, Vehir minimizes the need for maintaining separate interfaces.
Whole-Universe Enforcement: Comprehensive cross-package analysis ensures structural integrity before promoting any generation.

Project Status

Vehir is currently in the experimental phase and is continually evolving. Users should note that interfaces and formats may be subject to change with future releases.
