Project Overview

The Velora repository is organized into critical sections, addressing the backend API architecture, database schema management, and frontend features. Each area is designed to facilitate a robust and scalable e-commerce experience.

Backend Components

The backend of Velora includes an API that manages stores, products, and user authentication. Key endpoints and tasks include -

Store API

• Existing Endpoints: The current implementation includes a baseline API for managing individual store data (e.g., creating and retrieving stores).
• Planned Endpoints: Upcoming functionality will enhance the API to support listing all stores, retrieving stores by ID, and allowing for store updates and deletion based on seller authentication.

Database Schema

An essential focus is on rectifying relationships within the database models to ensure accurate references between entities like users, stores, and products. This includes:

• Updating references from User to Customer, ensuring all transactions relate correctly.
• Refining the Product model to establish clear links to both Store and Seller models, consolidating product ownership and management.

Frontend Features

The frontend aims to deliver an engaging shopping experience. Key tasks for frontend enhancements comprise:

• Search Functionality: Improving search capabilities to be reactive and user-friendly, allowing customers to find products effortlessly.
• Store and Seller Identity Display: Enhancing product listings to show relevant seller/store information for transparency and trust.
• User Interactivity: Integrating responsive designs for add-to-basket actions and account management features to streamline user interactions.

Future Directions

Velora's roadmap focuses on stabilizing backend operations, unifying product domains, and refining user experiences. Future developments will emphasize:

• Strengthening security and database integrity.
• Optimizing product management flows to prevent data inconsistencies.
• Enriching the customer account area and seller dashboard to facilitate easier navigation and operation.

With a systematic approach to development, Velora is poised to evolve into a leading platform in the luxury fashion sector, delivering both elegance in design and functionality.
